NINA'S JOURNAL

Huge thanks.

Just wanted to stop by to offer a big wet sloppy kiss along with a huge thank you to everyone who ran out to buy A TASTE OF DARKNESS. I’ve been hovering somewhere close to the ceiling all weekend because the latest adventures at the Woo Woo Inn landed me at #45 on the USA Today bestseller list and #25 on the New York Times bestseller list. I’ve dreamed since I first started writing of breaking into the top fifty of the USA Today list and anywhere on the New York Times list. I wasn’t prepared for it to happen with this book. I had thought about moving my next book away from the Woo Woo Inn, but not now. The Woo Woo Inn is a happening place.

My webmistress is now officially back from her vacation so I can feel free to deluge her with a bunch of whiny complaints. First and foremost, she has to tell me how I can receive comments.

That’s it for now. I really have to get moving on my next book. But I’m so happy, happy, HAPPY!

 Hey there! Assuming at some point you will retrieve all these notes, I am pleased that I can be counted amongst the other savvy readers out there that bought A Taste of Darkness. And LOVED it! Yep, the Woo Woo is fun!
Loved, absolutely HOWLED in laughter, when I read Sparkles solution to the councils’ agression … and stopped the fight cold. I had to read it over twice to make sure I really read what I thought I read. I had a great time visiting the Woo Woo Inn. I was delighted as to who(m?) the Protector ended up being. That was a masteful touch – it was an “awwwww” moment.
    Thanks Nina!!!

I just wanted to thank you for making me laugh. Your books are great and it was so much fun to really get into the story.
I also grew up in wide open spaces and then moved my horse and I to NJ after years working for the NPS in some of the most beautiful places in the USA. I loved the shore but didn’t know what to do with the rest. I always felt that if I tried to run into the underbrush that I would just bounce off. And there are no mountains! I had to rely on the sun to navigate and I totally suck at that. I am back in the open spaces again and no longer in traffic to get to work, my horse is no longer made crazy by things he can’t see in the underbrush and I can lay in the sun reading and look up at the mountains. I just guess that I was meant to live in the sticks. Anyway thanks again for deciding to write and congrats on the moves up the booklist. I think that you will continue this climb and keep writing!

Wow! Comments are showing, but what happened to all of our previous ones? Did Ganymede get bored and send them spiraling into space?

Love the Woo Woo Inn – but you know that. Wouldn’t it be great if you climbed at least (conservatively) 10 more spots on all those lists? I did my part. All the best, Nina!

I really love your books. They are so much fun. Having strange critters such as Sparkle is a really nice touch. I love to laugh and you make it possible.
    Thanks.
