Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow, thanks for taking the time to suggest titles, Melanie, Nicole, Michele, Elizabeth, Sasha, and Kimberly. Hope I didn’t miss anyone. See, I can never think of something clever like Kimberly’s BON APPETEETH. And I laughed out loud, Elizabeth, when I read your title, NIBBLES IN THE NIGHT. Cute, cute, cute. Keep the titles coming. Even if I don’t get to use one for this book, I could use it for a future one. Your comment, Sasha, reminded me of a published author I know who told me someone suggested the title, LOVE SUCKS, for her vampire romance. Can we say romantic? Not!
I haven’t read Kim Harrison’s first two books, Elizabeth, but I did read her latest book, EVERY WHICH WAY BUT DEAD. That’s a great title, too. I just finished reading Kerrelyn Sparks’s HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE VAMPIRE (another great title, arrgh). Funny and clever. I really enjoyed it. Now I’m reading Marjorie Liu’s A TASTE OF CRIMSON. Good book so far.
Jana, you asked about my next book (you’ll be sorry, bwahahaha). The mass paperback release of the anthology MEN AT WORK that I did with Janelle Denison and MaryJanice Davidson will be out in November. I think TASTE OF DARKNESS will be out in May of 2006 and WICKED PLEASURE will be out in June of 2006. Sometime before WICKED PLEASURE comes out, I think Berkley will release the mass paperback version of WICKED NIGHTS. Oh, and I’ll be part of a summer anthology, MEN AT THE BEACH, which will be out in 2006. Now is that all perfectly clear?
Next time I post I’ll talk about critique groups, Michele. Promise.
