Kitty sitting this week

I have my hands full this week. A friend asked me to kitty-sit a half wild kitten she rescued. My job? To socialize with kitty and make her people friendly. I’m too old for this. All last night Wild Thing raced, played, and generally created havoc. She likes to talk. A lot. She knocked over my fake tree, almost brought down a lamp, hung on the side of my bed and batted at me with her paws, and meowed nonstop. She was having a heck of a good time. Today she got bold enough to climb onto the bed. So I won’t be too safe there tonight. She’s really a sweet kitty and loves to be scratched, but she’s a little hellion. I think my friend is hoping I’ll want to keep her by the end of the week. The question is, will my condo survive the kitty express?

Hey Michelle, good to hear from you. Things are quiet here.

Silma, I’m reading Narcissus in Chains now.

I still want to talk about favorite plots, but not tonight. Tonight I need some sleep. Didn’t get much last night.

  1. I LOVE kitties! My sister just got 2 to be company to her older white one. One of the new kitties has a brown nose and is named Chocolate Chip and the other has a pink nose and her little guy just named him Kitty. I’m allergic, drats, but I think cats are the most fun ever. I grew up having cats, I can’t think why I’m so allergic now!
Maybe you could use "Wild thing" in one of your books as a foil to Ganymede????
Narcissus in Chains, oooh, that is where you meet Micah and Nathaniel. *sigh* I love when Anita and Micah are together..mostly..I like how the relationships are evolving…sensual, romantic and in Richards case…ooh, I just want to knock some sense into that guy. Or something, geez! It could be so Good!, but Noooo, Richard has to act like one of the other nicknames for Richard,if you know what I mean. I visited LKH’s site and she wrote that in the new book, she really, really wanted to have a book without Richard and Anita fighting…but he just won’t give it up..sigh…I’m glad she’s with JC. OK, TMI, I know..I just love the Anita Blake series and I’m taking advantage of conversing with someone who likes it too.
I am reading the Second Summoning by Tanya Huff. The sequel to the Summon the Keeper that was recommended here. I’m getting my fix. The relationship between Claire and Dean was followed through on. *sigh* This book as me laughing in all kinds of weird places! Love when the statues of the 7 dwarfs come alive and are fighting. The premise is really good; evil appears as a female teenage and good is an angel who accidently was gifted with genitalia. I’m grinning just writing this. I’m half way through the book and I’m having a good time. Hope you get a chance to check out these books too. I think Nicole, who I haven’t seen visit for awhile, gave us a great recommendation with this author.
Otherwise, quiet here too. Did you see Gena Showalters hunky guy photo on her blog? yum.
Oh, and Liz M chicken-ified another book, really cute.
That’s all the yammering from me today.
    Enjoy your day!!!!!

  2. Finished the second Summoning book. It was good!..a little smarmy at the end, but good. The third one in the series, The Long Hot Summoning..well, can’t say I liked it quite as much as the 1st and 2nd. I’ll be honest about it. The relationship between Claire and Dean was Much better to follow. But don’t take my word for it, you may like it better for different reasons. I just found that my use of "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" was strained a bit. The only section worth a mention is the Egyptian gods part.
    What do I read next?
    Have a great Wednesday!

  3. Just a quick bit - just checked LKH’s blog. She blogs and you can’t comment, darn. The scene where I mentioned earlier about A and R getting into a fight was averted, Yeah! (at least in that scene she’s been stuck on) I can’t wait until the book comes out. I think getting little insights and tidbits like this is … like riding a new roller coaster. I could explain….but it’s subjective at best. Perplexing at most.
Just finished Lie By Moonlight by Amanda Quick. Typical but always a good read. Like the theory of Vanza.
